Arab Expat Arrested For Smuggling Marijuana

Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport arrested an Arab expatriate who tried to smuggle marijuana into the country by replacing cigarette packs with marijuana and possessing sweets made with marijuana. According to security sources, a customs officer suspected the Arab passenger who arrived from a European country where marijuana is legal.

Upon reaching the inspection checkpoint, the passenger’s handbag was subjected to a manual check which led to the discovery of 55 grams of marijuana and sweets made with marijuana. When questioned, the suspect said the marijuana was for his personal use. He was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
