444 Kilograms Of Expired Olives And Pickles In Hawally

Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) destroyed 444 kilograms of expired olives and pickles in Hawally, in addition to shutting down two shops and issuance of two citations in Ahmadi.

The Hawally Inspection Department said a team from Hawally and Salmiya units destroyed the expired olives and pickles after the laboratory results confirmed they are not safe for human consumption.

Director of Ahmadi Inspection Department Soud Al-Jalal and inspection monitor Jaza Al-Daihani carried out a campaign that targeted shops and central markets in Abu Hulaifah and Egaila.


This campaign resulted in the closure of two shops, issuance of two citations, suspension of the operations of four shops until they obtain health certificates, submission of 17 pledges, and shutting down two foodstuff establishments for violating public hygiene regulations.
