Kuwait Indian School was established on 14th November 1985 by Late Mr. Ibrahim Al-Quataimi who was the founder and Chairman of the school. The school at first was launched in Farwaniya as a Primary school.Inspite of the massive destruction of the school property during the invasion our school did not wind up. Soon after the invasion the school opened its door to restart it immediately. It was then handled personally by Mr. Ibrahim himself, with the co—operation of Mrs. Kalyani Mukherjee as the Principal and Mrs.lrene Menezes as the Finance Manager. After the sad demise of Mr. Ibrahim in 2002 the school was transferred to Mrs. Hind Al Qutaimi as the Chairperson/Administrator and Miss Heyam Al – Qutaimi as the personnel manager and authorized signatory. As the continuous growth of the school, the old premises had to transfer to one of the Government school building at Jleeb Al—Shyoukh area in 2007 April and by 2010 the School extended up to Secondary level. Mrs.Kalyani Mukherjee as the Principal, Mrs.Shahina Murad Tol as the Vice Principal and Mrs. Irene Menezes as the Finance Manager are working with the school. Now the school is progressive English Medium School, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi – India. Also recognized by the Ministry of Education, Kuwait.
