KBE was established on April 2 . 1980 and founded an office for its Headquarter which is located opposite the Liberation Tower in Mirgab Area in Kuwait City the capital of the State of Kuwait. On August 2 , 1990 , the company ceased to serve the public after the country was fallen under the Iraqi occupation which lasted for seven months. After the Gulf War and the liberation of Kuwait , the company restarted to offer its services to the citizens of Kuwait as well as to the expatriates. The company was visited by the World Bank representatives at the end of the twentieth century. KBE was visited by the board of directors and managers of the most correspondent banks in Asia , Africa and the West.
