We are proud to introduce a distinguished culinary experience to the refined palates of New York City with the infusion of authentic Lebanese cuisine and the exotic flavors of traditional Armenian dishes. The story of Almayass began in Beirut in 1996 by the Alexandrian family, third generation Armenians, who had a passion to share and serve their culinary delights. Ever since, the restaurant has come to the attention of The New York Times, New York Magazine, Food & Wine Magazine, Los Angeles Times and many other international publications as a ‘must go’ destination for an Armenian-Lebanese dining experience. In recent years, Almayass has expanded in the Middle East with locations in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City and Doha at The Pearl. The majority of our dishes are presented in typical Mezze style, hot or cold, best enjoyed as a sharing experience amongst a group. Our most popular dish is the “Mantee Traditional”, oven-baked, artisan-made, boat-shape ravioli filled with seasoned fresh angus ground meat, served with fresh garlic yogurt-sauce and topped with sumac. Entrees include many selections of charcoal-grilled meats, carefully prepared with house seasonings and sauces. We also offer a large selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Desserts include Middle Eastern delicacies such as Ossmalieh and Ashta Saraya. Our inviting location in New York City’s bustling Flatiron district (lower Midtown) boasts a large dining room as well as a separate bar and lounge area.
